How We Have Preserved Productivity in The New Normal

It won’t be an exaggeration to say, this year has been one of the toughest ones for all of us. It has been indeed difficult to negotiate covid-19 – a global pandemic that has caused serious devastation across the world while fundamentally altering the way we work, operate, and interact.

Although we faced our toughest year, we stuck together. Our workforces have done a phenomenal job in keeping disruption to a minimum while meeting deadlines for our esteemed clients while working from home becoming the new normalcy.

While many industries have been witnessing hard hits due to the pandemic as one of the most sought-after web service providers and business consulting companies, we have seen an increased demand for custom software development, e-commerce store development, healthcare, and food delivery app development.

The newly remote working section could be struggling to achieve the kind of collaboration that is so often the bedrock of innovation. Despite the inclusion of various digital tools in the realm of project management, communication, and time management we’ve been unsuccessful in emulating the easy flow of productivity usually seen in the physical workspace. However, not at SBR Technologies, not on our watch. We have relinquished every scope of micromanagement and kept scrum calls, client meetings, or project meetings on skype, Google Meet, or Zoom to a bare minimum and denied prolonging them unless it was utmost necessary to do so.

In your life, some tasks are simple and complex. To stay on top of tasks, we created to-do lists and tracked them using Google Tasks. We used Teamwork – task management, and team collaboration tools that helped us stay on top of project deadlines and manage time efficiently. Our HR management scheduled separate virtual meets, sometimes one-on-one instead of a group call to address grievances, bouts of quarantine blues, or mental health challenges that often hinder productivity. We did our best to shed light on their previous productive phases and give them flexible work hours. We arranged for stress management benefits like coupons for yoga sessions or granting them vacation leaves right after the cessation of the second wave of Covid-19.
